[To a new forum member, who expressed frustration about not yet being able to have a smooth-running system, and a feeling of failure for not yet having done so.]
We'd like to offer you any encouragement that we can. We understand the feelings you mention. We understand the feeling as if we're failing. Our T often reminds us that we make progress even in the smallest steps, but that sometimes we don't recognize these small steps forward because we're living through it 24/7.
And yes, it's common to feel like various system members are specializing in one thing or another. This is a natural effect of compartmentalizing our collective self, which we do to stay safe. Each member has specific skills, experiences, perspective, and we each do what we need to do.
None of us is perfect. We can only do what we can do. And when we recognize and acknowledge even our smallest accomplishments and insights, it gives us the confidence to keep going.
