When Blogging Is Difficult

by Unspecified Author

It's difficult to write right now.  We've skipped a couple of days, either because we were busy or tired or both, and we don't want to skip days.  We believe that blogging regularly is essential to our healing, and that if we don't keep up the blogging regularly, it will have a negative effect on us.

Charity is once again stuck in a loop of unresolved feelings, and even with Mary's support, she finds it difficult to move forward.  Only Charity can make her own choices, but it's tiring to live with the consequences of some of her decisions.

We took our father to his T appointment yesterday morning.  Since we'd given him permission to talk about our multiplicity if he felt it was appropriate, we wondered afterward whether he had done so.  Our father's T did not treat us any differently after the appointment was over, although when you get down to it, even if he did feel the need to look at us differently, would he really make it that obvious?

Sometimes we doubt our ability to make good decisions.  The vast majority of our decisions are good ones, but some are not.  There are many times when we know that one choice is in our best interest, yet we fail to choose it, or we deliberately avoid it.  Then we end up berating ourselves and feeling like a failure.

So how do we pull ourselves our of our current funk?  Not just for the short term, but how do we move forward in a way that actually improves things for us overall,  for the long term?  There are many times when this seems impossible, and we often get discouraged.  We feel alone, yet we choose aloneness, because we have been hurt so many times by other people that we feel like giving up on people altogether.
