We could be doing any number of productive or creative things now, but it feels like we're being blocked. Not sure why. It doesn't surprise us, though, given all the chaos and drama with Charity's issues, plus Deborah speaking and writing earlier. Just wish we could live at that high-functioning level we're capable of. It feels like we're wasting time by not doing so.
Part of the reason for this feeling (time's a'wastin') is that the body is 52 years old, and as we've gotten older, we've become more conscious of the fact that we're not going to be around forever. So it seems like every moment is important, and we don't want to waste the time we have left. Except Laura, who'd like to waste most of it. (L: Not true. Relaxing and goofing off are both healthy and enjoyable.)
The undercurrent of Charity's gloom is almost always there, unless we get so involved in an activity that the rest of ourselves can take ourselves away from that place. Aside from the hopeless feeling present in this gloomy undercurrent, there's also an element of anger. We wish we could resolve this anger, or at least a significant portion of it, so that we could move forward.
