Revisiting, 10/10/17

by Charity

Someone on a forum asked us how things went with yesterday's visit to our brother, particularly in terms of the childhood trigger.  It went okay on that front. Currently the most convenient route approaches our brother's house from the other direction. So we almost didn't feel like we were in that same town.

At one point we said to B1, "My therapist recommends that I verbalize my feelings to you while I'm here, since you're a trustworthy person."

Mildly surprised, he replied, "I'm a trustworthy person?"

"Yes," we told him.  We added that we were doing okay except for the humidity, which bothers us more at "this stage of life."

The apartment is still a horrible setup, as far as we're concerned. The landlord let B2 have use of the portable AC but for some reason placed the window hose in the shed in the backyard. We're still trying to figure out the logic behind that one.

Not even B1 could figure out how to reconnect the AC to the tiny little basement window it had been hooked up to. So everyone (both brothers, SIL, and teenage niece) were dripping sweat the whole two hours we were there.

Now we're back to dealing with our everyday trauma. :-/
