We are on vacation next week. It's a "staycation." Most in our system don't like to travel, and we'd rather spend the time at home relaxing and doing things we like to do there. We customarily take the week of the Fourth of July, so that the holiday makes us get charged with one less vacation day at work.
Our T is moving to a new office. It's only a few minutes down the road from the one we've been going to for the 10 years that we've been seeing her. We understand the reasons for the move, and we even went to check out the location after our appointment today, which was the final appointment in the old office. We mainly wanted to get an idea of the traffic and parking situation, but we also knew that the change will probably be difficult for Charity and Rachel, both of whom need as much consistency as possible.
Our appointment today was earlier than usual because we had taken the day off from work to take our father to an ambulatory medical procedure. It went well, as we expected. And we have only two more work days left before vacation now. :-)
