Too Much Information

Someone in a forum posted in a thread about whether or not members of specific systems can hear each other inside:

with all the chaos we already have inside, I think it would be a worse nightmare if everyone knew everything.

Our dynamics are not always advantageous.  None of us knows everything, but we all have access to a communal memory bank, which stores everything.  For any one of us to know everything would indeed be a nightmare, because the fact that we are many attests to the fact that knowing everything would be too much of an overload to bear, let alone process.

What we mainly wish we could reduce is the chatter, and we've done so to a degree over the years.  But there are still times when we wish we could keep information from each other, or at least individual views and feelings. 

Imagine that Singleton A can't stand Singleton B, and they are part of each other's daily life.  For the best of all concerned, Singleton A needs to be cordial to Singleton B and find ways to communicate effectively and truthfully without causing any harm.  This is our system's dilemma, both internally and externally:  Living with the truth of not agreeing with each other at times, and sometimes not liking each other at all, just as we often feel with outside people.
