We've been away from blogging for over a month. The summer has been very difficult, especially for Charity. But we've made it through several stressors, including settling matters regarding the sale of our parents house, traveling to our cousin's bat mitzvah, dealing with excessive heat and humidity, dealing with menopause....
Well, the menopause will continue, for a while, anyway. It's been over six months since Aunt Flo visited. Our record is seven and a half months. Our understanding is that menopause isn't completed until Aunt Flo goes missing for at least a year.
Meanwhile, we're doing what we can to achieve some sense of normalcy, at least as we understand it. We're coming to understand Charity's struggles a little better, and even though some of us [read: me--Laura] aren't happy with Charity's pace of healing, we're learning to accept it. We're all better off if we do.
