Another forum friend replied to us there, mentioning the importance of showing compassion and appreciation. I wasn't sure whether she was directing this toward me or to the others.
But how to have compassion when others do nothing and expect you to do
everything? Why am I held to a higher standard? Because I'm the
oldest? What does that get me beyond a larger bed in our innerworld?
Being the oldest on the outside got us nothing either.
The five of us are a committee of equals. We may not feel like being responsible, but we do what we have to do. At least I do.
