Transitions

by Charity

Sitting in loneliness of our own making. We isolate for fear of getting hurt, and for disappointment of a lifetime of relationships where people constantly take from us and don't give. It's hard to even write/talk about it, let alone take other steps. Factor in the realities of adulting, of being in the here and now, and it gets even more depressing.

Then there's the matter of having to move in a few months.  We had a phone conversation with the buyer's agent about 10 days ago.  We have to get serious about condo/co-op hunting after the holidays.  And we have to get rid of junk now.

Over this past weekend we got rid of enough paper and recyclables to fill our whole barrel.  We need to keep doing this.  Recycling.  Donating.  Throwing things out.  Selling collectibles we're no longer interested in keeping.

We've just moved offices at work.  For the second time in a year.  The prior move was to a temporary space.  The new space is permanent.  Because of our tenure and the particulars of our job, we had as much to move as 20 average co-workers.  We're lucky that last weekend's chiropractor appointment didn't end up for naught.
