First, a home-buying update. We are officially "in contract." This
means that the contract has now been signed by both parties. Our next
step is to be vetted by the co-op board. Before this we have to submit
all sorts of documents and allow 30 days for them to review everything.
Then they interview us.
On a personal/internal/system
front....Saturday wasn't good; Sunday wasn't much better, and yesterday
was terrible. We continue to have hormonal fluctuations even though the
body is more than three years past menopause. Our emotional
fluctuations during these cycles, both during and after menopause, have
been awful. I mean really awful.
On
top of all of this, there are issues with Drew, one of our adults, who
is the one most steadfastly maintaining isolation and refusing to
interact with any of the rest of this. We cannot heal as a system
unless everyone participates.
Up until now we have had no read on
Drew's thoughts or feelings; we have only been able to visualize her
sitting alone in the woods, away from everyone else. Now we know that
she is extremely angry, most notably about gender issues, although there
may be other reasons as well. The resulting emotional flashbacks have
only added to the feelings of fear and powerlessness that we already
have.
