Well, when you're a kid, and you have to do X, Y, and Z because the
adults make you, and you see all of the things that adults get to do
that kids can't, and the freedom that kids don't have, it's easy to
think that adults have it a hell of a lot better than kids do.
Imagine
going through your whole childhood and adolescence thinking, "When I
turn 18, it will get better." And you turn 18 and nothing gets better.
And you turn 20, 25, 30, and so on. And nothing gets better.
All of that mystique of adulthood is one big, fat, f*cking lie.
