After yesterday's rain, the heat finally broke and dropped from about 88F/31C to about 65F/21C. We were even able to turn the AC down to auto, much to our immense relief. It will be less humid this weekend, but the heat humidity will go up on Monday and remain at least through Tuesday, which is the next day that it's supposed to rain.
The humidity in our apartment, which is the second floor of a house, is too high for us. Normally it's in the mid 30% range, but it's been 45-55% for several weeks now. We finally bought a dehumidifier today, although we have yet to set it up. We hope that it works properly and does its job without too much fuss.
